iPOV has engineered a systematic process to extract knowledge from raw, informal video sources and convert it into polished eLearning. As each processing step adds value to the one before, iPOV can tailor the delivered features and value to the client's precise need and budget.

Several common pricing scenarios (blue bars in Figure 1) illustrate the wide range of potential processing alternatives:

  • Knowledge Insurance - A client needs to capture and hold critical expert knowledge to prevent it from disappearing. However, there is no urgency to package it for wider distribution - at least not now. The client records an expert while they give a lecture, demonstration or engage in a Q&A session. iPOV digitizes, “chunks” and labels the video, and publishes it in a stand-alone web archive. ($300 to $2000 per finished hour*)

  • Searchable Reference - A client wants to make the expert knowledge more easily findable. However, the client doesn't (currently) need to dress it up as a polished course. iPOV takes the web archive, transcribes the audio and embeds the material in a web-based search engine. Optionally, iPOV can help the client to add additional comments and tags to enhance searchability. ($1000 to $4500 per finished hour*)

  • “How-To” Training – By making video edits, editing the transcript and applying a professional voiceover, iPOV can transform many types of raw video into polished, task-specific eLearning material. ($5000 to $8000 per finished hour*)

  • Expert Knowledge Training – iPOV will work with clients to understand the original expert video, synthesize succinct eLearning explanations and implement Flash 'helper' elements such as animations and quizzes. Collectively, these value-added features can explain even the most abstract and complex concepts. ($7000 to $15000 per finished hour*)
