Video Speaks Every Language
Several years ago, iPOV realized that our restatement process is equally effective in translating video-based material. If we take a valid script (i.e., in English), translate it and add a local-language voiceover, we can make it useful anywhere in the world. Alternatively, we can take the original video and ask an expert at the destination to paraphrase their own commentary and then process it just as we would the English equivalent. That is our translation transformation process.

iPOV has done this transformation on several important projects. We have published tens of hours of plant-floor instructional video in both English and Spanish. Since the videos are identical, the client is assured that the procedures will be understood in a similar fashion in both languages. Currently, iPOV is building a radical new infrastructure to support this process. We have dedicated software tools that can be downloaded by experts anywhere in the world. iPOV can now source its language experts anywhere - in real time and working directly on material that is safely retained on our servers.
